Sharpen enhances edge contrast to make your image appear crisper and more detailed. It works by amplifying differences between neighboring pixels.
Parameters
- Strength
Controls the intensity of the sharpening effect. Values below 1.0 produce subtle enhancement. Values above 1.0 create stronger, more dramatic sharpening. At 0, the image remains unchanged.
Tips
- Use 0.3–0.6 for natural-looking enhancement of photos
- Higher values (1.0–2.0) work well for text or line art
- Over-sharpening can create visible halos around edges
- Apply after resizing for best results
