Everything you need to know about Contour
Extract the outline of your image as vector paths for laser cutting or vinyl cutting. Works best with images that have transparency or a clear subject against a light background.
Parameters
- Threshold — Brightness cutoff for background detection (lower = darker pixels become foreground)
- Border Offset — Expand the contour outward (useful for cut margins)
- Smoothing — Morphological smoothing of the mask
- Blur — Soften the mask before extracting
- Min. Points — Ignore tiny contours with fewer points
- Simplify — Reduce number of points (Douglas-Peucker)
- Curve — Round corners with spline interpolation
